Event Review

The 2009 Mental Health Super Summit is now over - and we’re already looking forward to next year’s edition.

The event was an immense success, raising over $55,000 for Kids Helpline Charity and providing access to high quality training for many hundreds of professionals around the country. Here’s a note from Wendy Protheroe, from Kids Helpline:

“With your support, more than $55,000 has been raised for Kids Helpline to help young Australians who are facing mental health challenges. Kids Helpline is the nation’s only free telephone and online counselling service specifically for 5 to 25 year-olds. Each year, our counsellors speak with more than 300,000 children and young people and undertake almost 5,500 counselling sessions about mental health issues and a further 3,289 sessions regarding thoughts of suicide. Your support will truly help us to be there for these young people when they need us the most.”
